Twenty-Nine percent of India’s population is below the age 15, which is 20% more than the entire population of the USA! It is a gigantic mine we are sitting on, the potential of which has to be extracted or we risk the prospect of it exploding.

"ಸ್ವದೇಶೇ ಪೂಜ್ಯತೇ ರಾಜ, ವಿದ್ವಾನ್ ಸರ್ವತ್ರ ಪೂಜ್ಯತೇ" ಎ೦ಬುದು ಚಾಣಕ್ಯ ಉಕ್ತಿ. ರಾಜನಾದವನಿಗೆ ತನ್ನ ರಾಜ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ಗೌರವ ತೋರಿಸಿದರೆ, ವಿದ್ವಾ೦ಸನಾದವನಿಗೆ ವಿಶ್ವದೆಲ್ಲೆಡೆಯೂ ಗೌರವ ಉ೦ಟು. ಕಳೆದ ಶತಮಾನದ ಒ೦ದು ಉದಾಹರಣೆಯೆ೦ದರೆ ಪ್ರಖ್ಯಾತ ಗಣಿತಜ್ಞರಾದ ಶ್ರೀನಿವಾಸ ರಾಮಾನುಜನ್. ಇ೦ದಿಗೂ ಗಣಿತಲೋಕ ಅವರ ಸಮೀಕರಣಗಳನ್ನು ಬಿಡಿಸಲು ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಿಸುತ್ತಿದೆ ಎ೦ದರೆ ಅವರ ಅಪಾರ ಗಣಿತಜ್ಞಾನ ಎಷ್ಟಿತ್ತೆ೦ಬುದು ಒ೦ದು ವಿಸ್ಮಯವೇ ಸರಿ!

Sharath’s parents live in a mud house in a village about 8 KMs from Channapatna, a town situated on the famous Bangalore-Mysore Highway. Thara Manjunath, the only child of Manjunath and Nagarathna, is from Chireenahalli village, in Mandya district in Karnataka. Thara lost both her parents to a viral-disease when she was a 2 year old baby. Her grandparents took care of her until she was 4. During those days she remembers being sent to a neighbor's house to eat the day's meal, as her grandparents could not afford it. Thara says that many neighbors have helped her with food...
